My philosophy and style when it comes to designing websites for artists is to create a site that personifies the work. What is important on an artist site is that the work is shown at the highest quality possible. The website's function to enhance the images and portray what the artist is about. Custom sites will do this best but not every one can afford what goes into a custom site so I developed the templates.

My templates are neutral; they provide a classic and sophisticated backdrop for the display of art. There is a certain amount of customization that can happen with in the templates to reflect the artist's work. There are two good examples of this; www.sjwhyte.biz and www.michelehollandart.com. Design is Kim Bruce's background; art, her passion; digital technologies, her tool. Kim is a visual problem solver. With years of experience in presentation and a desire to reach a wider market, she designed her own website. In doing so she found herself opening a veritable Pandora's Box. Her gallery representation increased dramatically and other artists, arts groups and local businesses have approached her to design and upgrade their websites. Through word-of-mouth, the ripple effect widened, and Kim was encouraged to launch artbiz.

Background: Kim Bruce established a successful design firm in 1983 specializing in image development and store planning. Clients included  national and local chains such as The Forzani Group, Nevada Bob's, Lammle's Western Wear , Grabbajabba, Boutique of Leathers and many other boutique style stores.  Throughout her career she has continued her art education through classes at the University of Calgary and the Alberta College of Art & Design. (Kim lives and works in the foothills of Alberta just outside the City of Calgary)
